What a pleasure it is to get up early (when you don’t have to!), to explore the garden at first light. A few delights from my summer garden taken at first light this morning – aren’t the “chameleon” plants (Trachelospermum jasminoides “Chameleon”) looking gorgeous? The new growth is pink and white on these lovely plants. Finally after a long dormancy, they appear to be waking up for summer to thrill us with their pretty new leaves, so gorgeous!
Also seen at first light as if waiting to delight us with their prettiness …

Hi my friend! I haven’t been on the computer at all these past few days, just enjoying the garden myself too! My best is the morning too – picking all sorts of goodies for our meals. 🙂 I love LOVE the colour in your garden. The gardenia is finally giving a nice show there I see!!
Early in the day is the best time in summer. It doesn’t seem long ago that the gaura and penstemons were flowering in our garden. Your photos are a fine reminder.
It is thrilling (for the gardener) to wake up and see new growth! You have very pretty blooms. I know the sense of thrill and delight you get in seeing each one. No wonder non-gardeners wonder about us! 😉
There’s beatiful color in your garden! I like the “Charisma,” I love when flowers have contrasting colors like that. And yes, while I was on leave from work, I didn’t mind getting up early to do things I wanted to do, but on my first day back at work, it suddenly became very difficult to get out of bed. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Best wishes for the New Year!
They are so pretty, so colorful as the Christmas season! Happy Holidays!
My there are some lovely flowers showing in your garden…I love our morning light in winter…very different…
