September Foliage Follow up

I took some time out today to take some photographs of the foliage in the garden to link up with Pam at Diggings for Foliage Follow Up.  “Foliage Follow Up” is a monthly gardening meme where Pam and other garden bloggers showcase the beauty of foliage in their gardens on the 16th of the month. Please join Hercules and I as we stroll through the garden. It’s not just the flowers that smell good … according to Hercules!

Dominated by large trees on a medium sized property, my garden is very shaded. With no “full sun” areas I have to plant shade and partial shade loving plants. I love shrubs and flowers including camellias and azaleas but Roses and Irises are my favourite and getting these to thrive is a challenge …

Heehee! Hercules is quite the host!! He should bring out his own “show”! 🙂
I love your grasses and the Festuca Glauca is such a winner!! Can partner it with anything! Your foliage is STUNNING!

Great showcase of foliage! I agree that the combination of foliage is just as fascinating as the bright, showy flowers. And your presentation is delightful! Hercules obviously enjoys it, too.

Enjoyed viewing your foliage with HERCULES. The grasses have so many shades. Nice.
We have Gwendolyn, she is white with one blue eye and one green eye and she is a talker and cuddler…. the best…. and she like to garden too! Thanks for sharing.
