The 30 Day Challenge – Day 6

Today, I am grateful for patience!

It is one of the great gifts of life and one of the qualities that we strive for, but not always achieve! I believe it comes with maturity and not necessarily with age! I have watched my garden transform and change and without patience, I would have not been as successful with it! I have patiently watched the seeds take root and then inspect the first shoots. Some of the plants took ages to mature and without patience, I might have pulled them out and bought seedlings instead!  That would have been tragic! I have beautiful Detroit Dark Red beetroot.

About the 30 Day Challenge

My Two Gardens gardening buddy, Christine, and Cat of The Whimsical Gardener, has invited Garden Bloggers the world over to join in the 30 day challenge of posting a photograph and sentiment of that which you are thankful for – every day for 30 days. We all have something to be thankful for.  See Christine’s and my posts filed under “30 Day Challenge“.

Country living is the best! Being a true spirit of the earth, my garden is all about vegetables and fruit trees and herbs and chickens roaming free. I was keen to really start gardening when we moved to Philadelphia in 2005, but not your typical suburban-type garden – sterile and bug-free! I wanted an edible garden.
