Seasonal Celebrations are the joys that continually bring a smile to your face. If I had to choose one area in my garden that has always given me the greatest pleasure – I have to say that it is my Grass Feature. From the designing of it to the shopping expedition that Christine and I made to the Elgin area in the Cape to find the best grasses. Then the layout and the planting of the different grasses around a dry river bed. This became my Grass Feature in my front garden.
And every month this patch gives me something new. I celebrate this part of my garden this summer. Summer is a time for giving back to yourself. All the months of hard work and dedicating your time to others should be celebrated in summer, when the weather is warm and the sun is out.

Grasses are one plant that I truly appreciate when they mature in Fall here. Your design came out beautifully.
Beautiful! I also have grasses along side a river bed and they work so well. Those gaura look happy! 🙂
I love how you did this (as you know) and your help with placing mine is working out so well … they are coming into their own and I love them!!
Your grasses are beautiful, and I love the way in which you have them arranged – as a feature on their own with your dry creek. I can see why you celebrate this every summer!
Barbie you know I adore this part of your garden so it was a wonderful surprise to see you linked it into the meme…I added your post into the wrap up post that was published on the 21st for the first day of the solstice…our winter has really begun here with 3 feet of snow in a week 🙂 Happy Holidays!!
You know I love your grasses too!
