One Word Wednesday – Orange

This week I’m joining Alan of It’s Not Work, It’s Gardening in his “One Word Wednesday” theme. This week the word is “Orange” – I never purposely buy or plant orange flowers, so without any further ado (or words), let’s see what orange blooms and things, if any, I can find in my garden.

Quite a lot of Orange in the garden considering I don’t favour orange blooms!

Head over to It’s Not Work, It’s Gardening and see Alan’s interpretation of Orange and then why not join us and showcase all the “Orange” in your garden?!

Happy Gardening

Dominated by large trees on a medium sized property, my garden is very shaded. With no “full sun” areas I have to plant shade and partial shade loving plants. I love shrubs and flowers including camellias and azaleas but Roses and Irises are my favourite and getting these to thrive is a challenge …

A gorgeous interpretation of orange! No garden, or gardener should be without at least some orange! I personally am a huge fan of orange hose attachments, and various other garden implements. The only pair of garden secateurs I’ve never lost have bright day-glow orange handles. The other umpteen odd pairs that have vanished over the years are now treasure for future budding archaeologists 😉

Oh WOW!! How amazing that you have captured all that orange!! I love it!! Totally brightens my day!! Pity I am stuck up in my office today 🙁 with tons of work. I will try & get outside for some orange collecting!! 🙂 . I’ll also check out Alan’s post! Thanks for this!!
