I have wanted to complete my garden for years with the final throwing of stones on the paths around my house. We have finally completed this daunting task. We have imagined this task to be an enormous monster so it has taken us 3 years to pluck up enough courage. I had to prepare the paths for “the big stone path project” for the past 3 years – re-weeding every winter and scraping it clean every summer. Well, you will not believe it when I tell you that from the off loading of the stones to the completion of the path all around the house took us exactly 1 hour 15 minutes. We thought it was a whole day job with any additional time made for the next day. We had 2 wheel barrows and my hubby was amazed that I managed to keep up with him. 56 wheel barrows later we completed the path!! I would not have believed it!! All done! But I was physically and mentally finished after that!!

This is 13mm brown stone we used and we needed 2.5 cub./m to fill the path (a total of 47 sq.m) all around the house (not including the driveway which is the larger brown stone 19mm/25mm done 3 years ago). It was ordered on Monday, delivered Thursday by truck and off loaded onto a black plastic sheet 4x5m, 56 wheel barrows to lay out the path and completed 1 hour 15 minutes later.

I was so impressed with the stress-free project from the great service and advice from Stone & Bark in Montague Gardens to the delivery of the stones by Dennis, who had no problem finding Philadelphia and arriving on time as promised and dropping the stones exactly on the plastic sheet we had already waiting for him, to the actual hard work that lasted just over 1 hour! What a great result!! I would rather do this than go to gym for an hour!! It looks like a million dollars!! Now for a cup of tea!!
