The Mighty Mugwood Tree

Well, the tree finally found itself into our front garden – the Mighty Mugwood tree. This work of art was the idea of my husband when he brought home two crates of metal mugs. He came up with the idea of a big tree. I was so enthusiastic with my hubby’s interest in the garden that I was immediately supportive and said the big old lavender can now move. Well, the rest you can see for yourself in the photo sequence.  I love the new look and it wasn’t long when the neighbourhood came to see the Mugwood Tree. We’ve had a few visitors driving by to take pictures! We hope you enjoy it with us xxx

Country living is the best! Being a true spirit of the earth, my garden is all about vegetables and fruit trees and herbs and chickens roaming free. I was keen to really start gardening when we moved to Philadelphia in 2005, but not your typical suburban-type garden – sterile and bug-free! I wanted an edible garden.

Oh what fun and it turned out really well!! awesome you two, love it 🙂 🙂 🙂

On another note, how stunning is your lawn looking?? All lush and green! Lovely! And the grass garden … You told me nothing was happening, but the photo shows it all filling out and looking GORGEOUS!! We want a photo update post of the grass garden (the dry riverbed one)!!!

PS: I like Diana’s suggestion of The Mugwood Tree being a tree to welcome old friends!

PPSS: The photos of the Mugwood Tree are terrific too! love the night shot. You need to teach me how to do night shots, I can’t get it right for toffee!
