The DIY Planter

Here is the Planter you gave me for my birthday. I just love it! It works beautifully and I so love this that I am going to make more for the garden – they are simple to put together. And now that you have given me your dimensions, we are going to be busy building a whole lot of them. They are waist high, so you have an easy reach when you pick your ‘salad’ for lunch and no pests. What a pleasure.

Country living is the best! Being a true spirit of the earth, my garden is all about vegetables and fruit trees and herbs and chickens roaming free. I was keen to really start gardening when we moved to Philadelphia in 2005, but not your typical suburban-type garden – sterile and bug-free! I wanted an edible garden.

The Planter is the best gift ever! Oh yes! They are flourishing and we have eaten from them, so I cut nearly every day! They are so tasty and full of flavour. Such a pleasure!

Can’t believe how quickly things are growing in there! Everything seems to be double the size it was when I came to see you last week. Very, very cool!
