Painting with light!

Just for something completely different!! We had a bit of fun this evening painting with light on the Grass Feature garden. We set the camera on a tripod and the shutterspeed to 10 seconds. Then we took a torch and flashed light at spots in the grass garden. See what an effect you can make just with light at night? Then we added filters to the original photo and created different colours. Cool hey?

Country living is the best! Being a true spirit of the earth, my garden is all about vegetables and fruit trees and herbs and chickens roaming free. I was keen to really start gardening when we moved to Philadelphia in 2005, but not your typical suburban-type garden โ€“ sterile and bug-free! I wanted an edible garden.

Hi Barbs,

The new grass feature garden looks so gorgeous at night. Love it! Definitely think one or two path lights should be in the cards.

Hi Stef, not a bad idea ๐Ÿ™‚ maybe one that is solar powered… You know to keep it Earth freindly

I’m sure painting with light is a lot of fun. Is this the new landscape you were working on recently or did I mixed up the 2 gardens?

Hmmmm I’m looking. Soft light in the evenings would make this a better feature. Tks

Hi Donna – the fun part is when you see the result. My hubby ran around with the torch so my job was to press the shutter button…. We always come up with fun things to do. Work must be play is out motto.

Hi Carolyn. Oops! Sorry I’ll keep the fun down…..:-) I guess when you spend hours making it look beautiful you gotta have some fun with it …..
