Garden Bloggers non-Harvest Day in April

Sorry my Harvest Friends!! I have been so preoccupied with other things taking up my time that I have neglected the veggie patch. I spent no time with my seed bank preparing new seedlings and to my sadness now have little to show. Here are the meagre non-harvestable edibles in my garden. I am going to spend alot more time sowing seeds and seedlings this month to try and have a harvest worthy of last years bounty.
Sorry to let the team down!!!
Next Garden Bloggers Harvest Day will be better!!

Baby butter lettuce

Baby Curly lettuce

Baby Oak Leaf Lettuce

Baby Crispy Lettuce

Lemon Balm looking lush – love it in herbal teas

Hey guy! You are supposed to sow the seeds – not eat them!!

Happy Harvesting – I hope you have better luck than I do! What are you picking from your garden?

Country living is the best! Being a true spirit of the earth, my garden is all about vegetables and fruit trees and herbs and chickens roaming free. I was keen to really start gardening when we moved to Philadelphia in 2005, but not your typical suburban-type garden – sterile and bug-free! I wanted an edible garden.

I love the photographs in this post. So close-up it feels like we are in between the plants.
It has a lovely softness to it.
Soon you will be harvesting lettuce. My lettuce plants are also too small to harvest yet.
